What are the main features of TBM Connect?

How can I create a new Group or Forum Topic within a Group?

Members are encouraged to create new Groups and Forum Topics.

To create a new Group:

  1. Click on the Groups link at the top of most pages.
  2. Next to the “Groups Directory” page title, click on the “Create a Group” button.

Forum Topics are located within Groups. There can be an unlimited number of Forum Topics within a Group.

To create a new Forum Topic:

  1. Join the Group you wish to publish a Forum Topic to.
  2. On that Group’s page, click the Forum tab, which will pull up a list of existing Forum Topics, if there are any.
  3. Under that list, choose a Title for your new topic, along with the Content, and relevant Tags, to make it easier for other Members to join the conversation.

How do I make edits and additions to my Profile Page?

Your Public Profile is how other members and the general public can connect with you, request your friendship, make business connections, see your recent activity and much more. Make sure to complete all sections of your Profile, so that people can visit your website, email you, or otherwise contact you in the method you prefer.

NOTE: In order to make edits or additions to your Public Profile Page, you must confirm your account by clicking on the link inside the automated email that should have been sent to you, just after signing up.

Follow these instructions to add information or makes changes to your profile page.

  • Make sure you’re signed in (Your should see your Avatar and Username to the far right of any page you’re on.
  • Click on your username to get to your Profile Page.
  • Once you’re on your Profile Page (You’ll see your Username just under the website title), click the “Profile” tab, if it’s not already selected.
  • Alternatively, you can quickly jump to the “Edit Profile” page, by using the “My Account” drop-down menu.
  • There are multiple profiles sections to add information, including Basic Information, Interests and Contact Information.
  • After making edits or additions, click the “Save Changes” button, and wait until you see the green “Changes Saved” banner, before moving to another page.
  • Under each section, you have the option of making your personal information visible to Everyone, My Friends, or Only Me. This is where you might want to change the visibility of your Birthday, for example. We also ask that any images you add to your Album that contain nudity or mature themes, be made visible only to “Registered members” or “Only Friends”.
